What motivated you to really learn Creole?
I wanted to learn Creole to be able to be as useful and helpful as I possibly can when I finally have the opportunity to go to Haiti.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to learn Haitian Creole?
I would tell someone trying to learn the language to keep working at it, practice it, and listen to it as much as possible.
What’s been the biggest benefit for you personally since learning to communicate in Creole?
I have not yet been to Haiti so I have not had much benefit from learning the language, but it has certainly made me feel less apprehensive about going. I am looking forward to hopefully being able to help and minister more than I would’ve had I not worked at learning the language.
